OHCA invites all nurses in nursing facilities, assisted living, residential care, and in-home care to join us for the Nurse Leadership Conference. This conference will focus on ways nurses can enhance their leadership skills and, in turn, provide better quality care to their residents. The event will also provide Oregon’s senior care nurses with the opportunity to develop their voices, tools, and relationships in the workplace. In addition, presentations will address tactics nurses can utilize to inspire other care staff to achieve positive results and become their best selves.
The curriculum includes important information for both seasoned and new DNS/HSD as well as key nurse leaders. All attendees will receive a resource packet including handouts prepared by the featured speakers – a valuable tool for ongoing use after the conference.
Presentation topics include:
- Leadership and Teams and Collaboration, Oh My! Leadership Lessons from OZ
- Engaging Employees Through LiveWell™
- Essential Management Skills for Nurses: Hiring, Onboarding, Retaining, and Discipline
- What is Your Daily Relationship with the Oregon Board of Nursing?
