The Senior Wish Training Session, sponsored by the Oregon Health Care Foundation, provides the model for developing the Senior Wish Program in LTC communities and inspires attendees through a motivating video featuring senior wishes. Attendees come away not only excited to make wishes com true in their community, but also with the tools to make them happen!

In this comprehensive, one-day program, participants will learn about the Oregon Nursing Home Administrators Board rules, requirements & expectations of an Administrator in Training (AIT) program. Participants will learn tools for finding the right AIT to fit within company/facility culture and how to develop an AIT curriculum & training program which takes into account the experience, strengths and weaknesses of the AIT. Panels of experiences preceptors and past AITs will be in attendance to offer their expertise and answer questions about the Preceptor/AIT experience. Participants will walk out of this course as certified Preceptors and prepared with the tools necessary to create a comprehensive program that cultivates successful AITs.
