  • "The Business Case for Safety & Health" a science blog created by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health.

  • ECLEPS (Enriched Clinical Learning Environments through Partnerships in Long Term Care) - This project builds capacity for long-term care (LTC) facilities to be excellent clinical learning sites for nursing students in the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education (OCNE). Through community-academic partnerships, they are developing a model training and support program that provides LTC staffs with essential knowledge and skills to enhance their practice setting and support students' learning. This project is funded by the Northwest Health Foundation (NWHF).

  • New HRSA-funded Health Workforce Information Center
    A new HRSA-funded Health Workforce Information Center (HWIC) website went live February 2009, and provides free access to the most recent resources on the nation's health workforce. The site, which is operated by the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, offers the latest on health workforce programs and funding sources; workforce data, research and policy; educational opportunities and models and best practices.

  • SE Works
    A universal access One Stop Career Center with a full range of services available to job seekers and employers. If you are a job seeker you can participate in pre-employment workshops, write resumes, and search the internet for job leads in the Neighborhood Jobs Center. In some instances, job seekers may be eligible for more intensive training, placement and retention services provided under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).

  • Oregon Healthcare Workforce Institute
    OHWI exists to coordinate and advance a comprehensive statewide response to the growing healthcare workforce shortage. OHWI's focus includes accurate supply and demand data, educational program and clinical expansion, development of public policy and connection of interested parties for problem solving, funding and information sharing.

  • Oregon Labor Marketing Career Information

  • Paraprofessional Healthcare Institute (posted 6-27-07)

    • A nonprofit organization that works to strengthen the direct-care workforce within our nation’s long-term care system through developing innovative approaches to recruitment, training, and supervision; client-centered caregiving practices; and effective public policy.

  • National Clearinghouse on the Direct Care Workforce (posted 6-27-07)

    • Includes government and research reports, news, issue briefs, fact sheets, and other information on topics such as recruitment, career advancement supervision, workplace culture, and care giving practices.

    • Houses training manuals and how-to guides, a list of direct-care worker associations and listings to other associations, resources, and events.

    • Publishes original research and analysis, including fact sheets, an annual survey of state initiatives on the direct-care workforce, news stories, and Quality Jobs/Quality Care, a free biweekly on-line newsletter.
