How do I get myself and my staff registered?

To Register a Group

On the event registration page, click the “Register”. After you click this, a pop-up will appear.  Select “Register a Group” and then select the individuals from your organization who you would like to register and continue the registration process.

You may log in to the member portal at any time to add or change your staff registrations. If you have questions or run into challenges, please contact OHCA.

The Oregon Convention Center offers directional screens throughout the building directing you to where the OHCA Annual Convention is being held. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Registration opens the day before the event, September 19, between 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 pm.. and will open on September 20 at 7:30 a.m. Please arrive between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. to ensure you have enough time to register before the keynote presentation begins.

Getting There

The Oregon Convention Center is accessible by car, TriMet MAX light rail, bus, and Uber/Lyft. Parking is available at the Oregon Convention Center for a fee. There are also several privately-operated parking garages and metered parking spaces within three blocks of the Oregon Convention Center. Drop off Accessibility

If you have mobility considerations, please consider being dropped off at the Oregon Convention Center bus turnout located on MLK Jr. Blvd. near NE Lloyd Blvd. This will give you close access to the south end of the building, where the OHCA Annual Convention and Trade Show will be taking place.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend this event?

Please note, all provider attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an employer-approved medical or religious exemption. All exhibitors, staff, volunteers and speakers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, no exemptions.

Is WiFi available at the event?

Yes! Complimentary WIFI is available for all OHCA participants in common areas at the event. Access codes and instructions will be available in the event program and onsite.

Is there a hotel block for this event?

What should I wear?

There is no official dress code for the OHCA Annual Convention and Trade Show, however, we encourage people to dress comfortably in business casual attire. Please dress in layers as the temperature in the meeting rooms fluctuates.

When will I get my CEUs after the event?

Attendees can individually track their own continuing education units (CEUs) at the OHCA Annual Convention. Through the event mobile app or web browser, attendees will easily be able to track CEUs earned, complete online evaluation forms, and print a transcript of sessions attended. To collect CEUs:

  • Step 1: During each session you attend, RECORD the unique CEU code word announced and displayed for that session. A template is provided in the event program to make recording and remembering your codes easy!
  • Step 2: Through the event app or your desktop, visit the Survey Magnet website (through a link OHCA provides), ENTER the CEU code, and EVALUATE each session you attended.
  • Step 3: Once you’ve completed the steps for each session you attend, DOWNLOAD AND PRINT your CEU form!

While we recommend you download the event app to make tracking easier, you do not need to have access to the app to use this program. It can easily be accessed on your desktop computer.  Your username and password to claim CEUs are the same credentials as your OHCA member oortal login.

How can I access session handouts?

There will be two ways to access, view, and print handouts for this event:

  • Download the OHCA Annual Convention mobile app on your mobile device approximately two weeks prior to the event. You can access the handouts via tablet and phone and take notes within the app handouts.
  • The event app will also give access via laptop for you to access the handouts, download your notes, and print off handouts.

Is there a virtual option available for this event?

The 2022 OHCA Annual Convention will be held in person only.  We look forward to having our members meet and connect in person again!

OHCA does host a wide variety of virtual events for providers that aren’t able to travel to Portland or attend in-person for other reasons, including full-day conferences, our Role of the RN training, and our ALF/RCF administrator training. View here for all virtual offerings.

What meals and activities are included with my registration?

  • Coffee will be available for all attendees on both mornings.
  • Day 1 – Lunch will be provided at the trade show.
  • Day 2 – The Awards Ceremony Luncheon is available for an additional fee and can be purchased with your registration or onsite.

In addition, there is a Portland Roasters coffee shop located inside the Oregon Convention Center which offers a variety of coffee and snacks for purchase. The Oregon Convention Center is also within walking distance of many convenient coffee shops and restaurants.

A note about special dietary needs: OHCA and the Oregon Convention Center are happy to accommodate any special dietary needs. Please inform OHCA of your special dietary needs through the online registration system, or by emailing at least two weeks prior to the event for planning purposes. At the event, an OHCA staff member or volunteer can connect you with server who will help in providing the appropriate meal for you.

How do I purchase Awards Ceremony Luncheon tickets?

The OHCA award winners will be honored at the OHCA Annual Convention Awards Ceremony Luncheon on September 21. Tickets are required. You may purchase your ticket with your registration  or any time before September 16 here. Advance purchase is recommended to ensure seating and tickets can also be purchased onsite if space allows.

I nominated someone for an Award. When will I find out if they were selected?

Nominations for the OHCA Annual Convention awards programs are due by Sunday, August 7, 2022.  Recipients will be notified by August 31, 2022.  The nominees not selected will receive a certificate of appreciation from OHCA for their hard work and dedication to the profession. Nominators will be notified by email that their nominee was not selected in early September.

Exhibitor Specific Information

Move-in times:

  • Monday, September 19, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Move-out time:

  • Tuesday, September 20, 2022, 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.; All exhibitors must be fully moved out by Tuesday, September 20, at 5:00 p.m.

Attendee Lists

  • The pre-event attendee list will be sent to confirmed exhibitors and sponsors at least one week before the event.
  • The post-event attendee list will be sent to confirmed exhibitors and sponsors the week following the event.

Confirmed exhibitors and sponsors may send up to three representatives per booth or sponsorship as a part of your booth/sponsorship purchase. Additional representatives are able to join at the full-priced member rate.
