Central City Concern is looking for an experienced Health Information Management Manager to lead the daily operations and management of the Health Information work groups within CCC, policies, procedures and personnel.

The Health Information Management (HIM) Manager is responsible for the daily operation and management of the Health Information work groups in keeping with CCC policies and procedures, professional standards, and state and federal laws. The HIM Manager establishes and follows policies to confirm that health records are accurately documented, readily accessible, and systematically organized.

This position is also responsible for the management of the personnel that comprise the HIM (Medical Records) work groups including hiring, training, performance management and employee/team development. Working together with all users of the medical record, the HIM Manager will assure the continued development of a strategy that supports the advancement of the electronic record (EHR) that enables the necessary care delivery, clinical review and patient billing.

Duties will include:
Collaborate with Health Services Leadership to assist in the development of policies, procedures, and enhancements to the delivery of services and operations of the Health Information Management (Medical Records) departments.
Manage implementation and administration of all agency healthcare information policies, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws.
Oversee all development, implementation and review of workflows related to documentation storage, imaging, release of information documents, transcription and health data analysis.
Monitor HIM Operations services, develop quality and performance indicators; gather data for analysis, continuous improvement to optimize services and stewardship of resources.
Utilize metrics, data and analytics to measure and deliver performance that meet or exceed best practice benchmarks in the management of the HIM functional area.
Manage HIM team members and systems to achieve appropriate staffing, resource utilization and cost containment objectives of the organization.
Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, timekeeping, evaluating, retention and termination of HIM department staff.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or closely related field. High School Diploma or GED and over five years direct experience in HIM may substitute for degree.
Minimum three years of experience as a Manager or Supervisor in Health Information Management is required.
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred.
Experience working in Centricity preferred.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
