In the ever-evolving era of social media and communication options, facilities are faced with unique privacy, reputational, and legal challenges related to social media activity by employees, residents, and even family members. In this session, OHCA’s general counsel will review how the law is evolving regarding social media in and outside of the workplace and risks to your organization presented by social media activity. She will discuss how social media policies should be reflected in your human resources practices, employee management practices, and fair employment practices as well as considerations if your community is presented in social media in a negative manner.
