Position Summary

McKenzie Living Springfield is a campus that has two custom-built houses specially designed for individuals struggling with dementia and other co-occurring mental health disorders.

Our LPN’s will provide basic bedside care under the direction of a registered nurse (RN). Duties may involve monitoring vital signs, changing dressings, and collecting samples for medical tests.

A successful candidate will be someone able to demonstrate the ability to utilize effective communication skills to create and maintain interpersonal relationships with staff and residents. You will need to work independently and with a team, supporting each resident. Having the ability to work with and understand residents with difficult dementia/mental illness diagnoses will aid you in being successful in the position. As an LPN you must understand and comply with all program rules, regulations, and other government regulations (i.e. HIPAA and etc.).

Qualifications Preferred:

1-2 years experience as an LPN in a long-term residential care setting and/or mental health experience preferred.
Current LPN License through OSB and in good standing
Ability to successfully communicate with resident family, RNs, GNP, Caregivers, and, other medical professionals.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal history background check.
Ability to show proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19
Working knowledge of Eldermark Software program or similar electronic resident record.
Proficiency with computer software programs including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
