Part time RN, in home care

Advantage Home Care provides quality home caregiving services to elderly and disabled people living in their own homes and independent living communities. We are looking for a friendly but businesslike Registered Nurse to provide quality medication management to our clients. This requires in home visits as well as office time filling out MARs, faxing doctors, and documenting home visits. Approximately 30% of the job is teaching and delegating caregivers.

Qualifications
• Unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse license.
• Knowledge of common medical concerns among the elderly and disabled population.
• Excellent organization skills, to keep on time, on track, and to ensure clients are given the right meds in the right dose, at the right time.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Flexibility to adjust your communication style for different situations and audiences, for example with elderly people with dementia and hearing loss, and for staff members who may need help understanding procedures.
• Willingness to provide minor physical assessments; for example to check for rashes and pressure ulcers, or for toenails that require a podiatrist. You will not actually be providing this care.

• Part time, flexible schedule, approximately 16 hours per week. We prefer 2 6 hour days (9:30-3:30) and a 4 hour day to catch up on documentation, but we will work with you. Your schedule includes travel time, for those days that you may be starting at a client's home away from Roseburg.
• $42.00 – 50.00 per hour, DOE
• Sick leave, PTO, and 401k available.
• Newer company car available (shared vehicle). Mileage reimbursement when you use your own car.
