Job Description
REGISTERED NURSE
Seeking 40-hour per week RN to oversee nursing procedures, practices, and policies for 61-unit assisted living). Guided by goodness, loyalty, faith and fun, the Registered Nurse maintains standards in resident care and coaches the staff on best care practices.
Essential Job Functions:
Demonstrate independent judgment and discretion.
Complete timely and accurate resident assessments as required by state regulations and Compass Senior Living policy.
Assist with timely and objective incident reports and investigations.
Assist and coach staff on trending, tracking and implementing interventions for resident incidents to prevent re-occurrence.
Perform licensed nurse tasks within scope of practice as allowed by state law.
Create, implement and maintain accurate wellness record for each resident—providing nursing insights on a monthly basis on resident care and well-being.
Interact with resident’s physician, pharmacist, and medical personnel as needed.
Interact with community employees and provide guidance and education on resident care as it relates to nursing requirements and duties.
Assist with the coordination of care to residents with third party providers such a therapy, home healthcare and hospice.
Perform complete or problem-focused assessment on residents with a change of condition.
Delegation and teaching must be provided and documented according to OR State Board of Nursing requirements.
Assess and review resident’s health-related service plan and any changes made.
Regulatory:
Remain abreast of current State regulations and Nurse Practice Acts and compliance with regulatory processes such as DHS, Board of Nursing, OSHA and EPA.
Assist the community in continued compliance with policies and procedures of Compass Senior Living.
Timely implementation of any licensing survey actions required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Licensed RN in good standing with State Licensing Authority and ability to maintain license in good standing.
Working knowledge of computers including Excel, Word, and MS Office required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public and in a manner that is representative of the community.
Must meet all health requirements.
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must pass criminal background check and nursing licensure validation as required by state law.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with the senior population.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with assisted living and memory care personnel.
Occasional travel may be required.
Salary DOE. Employer will pay 80% of employee’s insurance premiums. Matching 401k offered as well.
