Favorite Part of Her Job

“I’m grateful for the opportunity in advocate for Oregon’s seniors. I’ve worked in politics my whole career, so it’s been exciting to be able to tackle a new area of public policy with long term care. It’s exciting and humbling to support this sector, especially in the wake of the pandemic.”

Favorite Oregon Restaurant

“My favorite Oregon restaurant is, sadly, one that isn’t around anymore. As a Salem native, Kwan’s restaurant was the backdrop of many family dinners and birthdays growing up. Their special fried rice was the stuff of legends. Kam Sang Kwan and his wife, Bo, moved to Salem decades ago and started the restaurant. I still miss it!”

Favorite Activity Outside of Work

“I love to travel, eat new foods, and spend time with my friends and family. The pandemic put travel on hold, but I was able to do a two week road trip and see beautiful sights all across five states. Waking up in Zion National Park in Utah will be an all-time favorite memory, and I hope to get back again someday soon!”
