The role of a social services director or social worker in long term care is complex and multi-faceted position. Responsibilities can vary depending upon the setting, however each social worker’s main role is to enable individual residents to function at their highest possible levels of social and emotional wellness. A social services director can help the residents as they transition in to or out of the care environment.
