2023 OHCA Annual Convention Photo Highlights

September 20, 2023

More than 1,300 long term care professionals as well as sponsors and exhibitors convened at Oregon’s largest long term care event of the year, the OHCA Annual Convention & Trade Show, on September 19-20 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. This marked the most attended conference that OHCA has ever organized. Thank you for attending!

With the theme, “Game Plan for Quality,” we strategized and worked through challenges to give long term care professionals the winning hand.

The two-day event opened with a keynote presentation delivered by Ron Culberson, who spoke about pursuing excellence while infusing life and work with enjoyment. This presentation showed staff and leaders how to create a less stressful work environment where people want to work.

Attendees also participated in a wide variety of breakout sessions on topics relating to clinical skills; diversity, equity, and inclusion; leadership; life enrichment; quality improvement; and more. The event also included a robust trade show where attendees were able to connect with sponsors and vendors to learn about the products and services that will assist in providing high-quality care to residents and keeping buildings running efficiently.

Following the first day of education, registrants, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers were all invited to kick back and attend an all-attendee happy hour at the Spirit of ’77 for complimentary appetizers and drinks.

During the second day, providers were able to meet their Oregon community-based care and nursing facility policy analysts face-to-face over a cup of coffee. At the OHCA Awards ceremony luncheon, individuals were recognized for their commitment to quality care through their dedication to residents, colleagues, and the long term care profession.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this event. We look forward to seeing you at our 2024 Annual Convention next year, September 17-18, 2024. Save the date! More information will be available soon.
