In-Home Care Agencies: Permanent Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Rules Update

The permanent EVV rules for in-home care agencies providing services to Medicaid clients have been finalized and will go into effect on March 28, 2024. The permanent rules may be accessed here.

As a reminder, compliance with the rules is required to maintain a provider number. It is also important to note that in-home care agencies are required to provide the Department with a monthly report showing many of the same EVV elements. The Department previously shared a sample EVV monthly report, which may be accessed here. The first tab has the definition of each EVV element, and the second tab has the sample report.
