OHCA has secured funding from the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) to launch the 2024 Oregon Health Care Association DEI Leadership Intensive Training on November 13-14, 2024. The purpose of this two-day training is to build a strong foundation and provide tools for launching sustainable DEI initiatives in respective long term care communities. By offering a safe space for this cohort of individuals, the training will allow participants to workshop through any barriers to implementing DEI objectives in their community.

During this two-day in-person training, participants will work with professional DEI consultants and facilitators to:

  • Establish a baseline understanding of the importance of DEI in long term care
  • Understand the primary challenges (staff and resident challenges) around DEI in long term care settings
  • Review solutions and roadmaps to address these challenges
  • Devise individual action plans to address DEI challenges in each participant’s community/organization

Participants are selected through an application process. The application is open to all long term care leaders working in Oregon-licensed nursing, skilled nursing, assisted living, and residential care facilities; independent living; and home health and in-home care agencies.

Apply for this training here.

Please contact Rosie Ward at rward@ohca.com or Maggie Walter at mwalter@ohca.com with any questions.
