Oregon Care Partners will bring a valuable training opportunity to Hood River on April 16 with their free class, Introduction to Trauma Informed Care. The class will be held at the Hood River Library from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm and offers 4.0 CEUs. Trauma is an often-overlooked variable in the lives of older adults. This class introduces the six principles of trauma informed care, discusses the importance of a trauma-informed approach to care for older adults, and additionally gives attention to the impact of care on the caregiver in the form of stress and burnout.
