Safe Medication Use in Older Adults, Coming to Salem April 13

Oregon Care Partners is offering the essential, fundamental class Safe Medication Use in Older Adults in Salem on April 13. The 4-hour class will help caregivers better understand the importance of safe medication management in older adults, and is great for family caregivers as well as entry level CNAs, CMAs, and other direct caregivers or seasoned professionals. The expert instructor will guide attendees through the basics of how medicines work in older adults and the importance of regular medication reviews as well as teach attendees how to recognize behavioral expressions of distress and provide care partnering tools and resources for non-medicine interventions and effective pain management.
